Pertubuhan IKRAM Malaysia (IKRAM) is deeply saddened by the death of former Egyptian President Dr Mohamed Morsi after collapsing in Cairo court, Egypt on 17th June 2019.
Dr Mohamed Morsi was democratically elected President in the election after the Egyptian revolution and uprising in 2011 and he never stopped safeguarding and fighting for the people’s right to freedom, sovereignty and a life of dignity.
Blatantly abused by tortures and unfair trials, the world witnessed him martyred in the final breath of his struggle; full of patience and steadfastness.
He will remain as one of the world leaders who sacrificed their lives for their people and country.
“Think not of those who are killed in the Way of Allâh as dead. Nay, they are alive, with their Lord, and they have provision- (169) They rejoice in what Allah has bestowed upon them of His Bounty, rejoice for the sake of those who have not yet joined them, but are left behind (not yet martyred) that on them no fear shall come, nor shall they grieve.” (Ali Imran: 169-170)
IKRAM would like to express its deepest condolences to the family of Dr Morsi, members of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) and Muslim Brotherhood, Egyptians and Muslims who are affected with the incident.
We pray that Egypt will be free from tyranny, predicaments and come out victorious from its long history and rich identity of its people; as envisioned by Dr Mohamed Morsi.
