Pertubuhan IKRAM Malaysia (IKRAM) takes note that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has brought charges against a former staff member of IKRAM Hulu Selangor under Section 23 of the MACC Act 2009 relating to allegations of abuse of position involving funds amounting to RM98 million.
IKRAM fully respects the ongoing legal process. Throughout investigations, IKRAM has given its full cooperation to the MACC and will continue to provide due cooperation during the course of trials.
All parties, especially members of IKRAM and the general public, are urged to likewise respect the ongoing legal process and refrain from making any speculations.
As an organisation, IKRAM itself is equally affected by these allegations of misappropriation of funds, including in terms of its reputation, public confidence, and the implementation of activities and community service.
KRAM takes seriously any matter involving public trust and as an accountable organisation, IKRAM will continue to strengthen its internal organisational processes, including aspects of governance and financial control.
