Pertubuhan IKRAM Malaysia (IKRAM) wishes to express our utmost gratitude to His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah for His Majesty’s wisdom as a constitutional monarch in appointing Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the 10th Prime Minister, subsequently ending all uncertainties over the Malaysian political landscape following the 15th General Election (GE15).
IKRAM applauds His Majesty for His position in forming a stable government, giving it utmost priority through a deliberate, systematic and careful process.
IKRAM congratulates YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim on being elected the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia yesterday.
IKRAM believes that the new government led by YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim will work diligently to carry out the enormous responsibility of making Malaysia a peaceful, prosperous and developed nation, as well as establishing Malaysia as an economically competitive country.
IKRAM also believes that the new government will uphold the Federal Constitution and demonstrate full commitment in carrying out reforms in order to restore and enhance the country’s institutions.
IKRAM has full confidence that the new government led by YAB Dato’s Seri Anwar Ibrahim will prioritise the well-being and welfare of the rakyat and will work to restore the country’s economy, thus improving the livelihood of Malaysians through holistic and inclusive development.
IKRAM calls for politicians across all sides of the political divide and community leaders to reconnect and join hands in strengthening social cohesion among the rakyat amidst the aftermath of GE15 which has threatened to tear the fabric of our society.
His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong has advised that the nation needs a stable government in order to boost its economic situation, and it should thus not be burdened by endless political turmoil. Hence, all Malaysians, especially political leaders, should adhere to and take His Majesty’s advice seriously.
Amidst the ongoing challenges and uncertain economic conditions, it is especially important that all parties play their role in fostering unity and cohesion among Malaysians of all ethnicities and religions.
Let us pray that the new government carries out its responsibilities with honesty, integrity and authority in making Malaysia a peaceful and prosperous country that all Malaysians can be proud of.
